Took my engine to the machine shop.

It's all to do with the oil. Most of the additives have been removed. Don't need them in late model roller cam motors. Were removed to help emissions and gas mileage. They were also hard on cat convertors.

    Resurrecting the 53 GMC

Great! Glad you're working on it again. How about some pics of the rack and pinion install. Love this truck.[cl

    Why is it.....

S Truck bashing OK guys let's stop bashing the S Trucks. I have a 89(bought new in 89) with 490000 miles on it. 4 cyl 5spd that runs great, doesn't use a drop of oil(original 2.5), and still gets over 24mpg @ 70mph with a/c wide open. Have used it for work since new and love it!

39 Ford PU Moonshine Bandit AKA. (Booze Bandit)

Love the build!! It's uncanny how similar yours is to what I'm trying to build. Only thing is yours is sooooo much better than mine that I'm ashamed to post pics. What grille shell are you using? I have a 33 Dodge truck for mine and plan to use rack and pinion steering. Keep the pics coming. [dr

I was asked to explain what a rat rod is

Excellent definition!!! What more could be said? This is why I stopped building drag cars and started a rat. Sure will be glad when get to drive it. Every time I think I'll get to work on it something else comes up.

    I found a 1957 MG roadster today

Little cars are fun to drive. Had one in the early 70's with a 327 Chevy, Muncie 4spd, & 12bolt rear. Very quick for the day.:D

    motorized bicycles!

Love the bike. What size is motor and where are brakes? A few people around here have used the 49cc kit so don't have to register as motorcycle.

    Holley power valve help

Must be older carb without power valve protection. Kit to solve that problem is about 6 bucks at most parts stores. I allways run a 45 or 55 power valve, no bigger that 65. That way you know it won't come in till you need it. I've seen cars with correct jets and float levels running way too rich...

    Is anything USA made anymore

I work for one of the large auto parts chain stores and can honestly tell you that there are alot of parts still made in the USA. Problem is that 95% of customers want the cheaper parts & don't care where they are made. Only interested in price. USA made parts are 2-3 times higher than the...

    3rd Annual "CRUISIN THE PARK"

Hello All, Only 6 days left. Just caught our local weather forcast and looks great. No rain, lows in the 50's and highs in the mid 80's. Even though we had an unwelcome visitor(Isaac), looks like we're going to have a good turnout. City assures us the park will be manicured and ready for...
