In a drum brake system where the shoes won't return it seems the return springs aren't doing their job. Look for wear or rough spots on the backing plates that might keep the shoe from returning.

I put one of these B&M Unimatic shifters in my Studebaker. It has adapters for all automatics, straight forward and back pattern, push down to go into reverse and park. Shop around for a deal, I paid $110 for mine.new on Ebay...

That's why we can brag that we have "Blood, sweat and tears" invested in our cars...:o

Since you asked,... I like the style and craftsmanship is excellent, BUT The windshield is too small, can't see out of it and its a piece of lexan screwed to the frame, that''s tacky. :D :confused:
