Thanks. Yeah mine has a 302 with a C4 up front. I built the chassis using a Mustang ii front end and Dana 44 rear. Should be fun. I went to look at one years ago in the local trader paper. It had a 455 Toronado drivetrain in place of the rear seat. Even being young and dumb, I could see it...

Sounds like a cool project. Especially with the family history. Good luck on your build. We'll be watching for pics.

That slide out tray was for your hunting or fishing accessories. This truck was supposedly built with the outdoorsman in mind.

Yes. I kept it as original as possible. I paid to much to get a 41 Plymouth parts car just to have all the mechanical parts I needed. They used a 1941 Plymouth chassis purchased from a wrecking yard, rebuilt the running gears, welded the body straight to the frame, and sold as new.

I've been a member on this page for a long time but have been away for quite some time. I've stayed busy in the garage though. I'm a bit ADHD. I jump from one project to the another with usually one getting the most attention. I'm often told that I'll never finish them all, and that may be true...

    36 Ford Truck Convertible

I had planned to stay with the normal chopped top Rat Rod, but it was too rusty to save, so off came the top. I kinda like it.

Thanks. Only about 1000 produced, so they're fairly rare. Unfortunately rare doesn't always mean valuable.

I found a 41 Plymouth for all the running gear. Thats what they actually used when building. All the sheetmetal, I fabbed up myself. It took a while, but I was happy with the outcome. Its no show truck but looks pretty good.

I found this truck sitting along the road, being used as a business sign. It took three years to convince the owner to sell it. He said there wasnt enough left to save. after 8 months and a ton of work, it came out OK. I thought about leaving it in flat black and just having fun, but decided to...
