We turned around and bought this.

I guess her plans are to strip it to the frame and start over with it. She says she wants the original looks but all modern goodies and comforts.

Probably get rid of the four wheel drive slow stuff and install V-8, auto,and 9"rear end on new suspension with coil overs.

I'm still gimping around after getting my new hip for Christmas so I won't be rushing into any thing for a couple more months. I told her when she gets the seat out of it and gets rid of all the critter droppings and sanitized we can start stripping it down.

I think it might be fun building it witheek her if she doesn't run out of money.

Air ride

Instead of coil over go with air ride, you get a good ride yet pump them up and you can haul the hay.

Thanks Guys . It's been a long winter of rehab and boredom. My old joints are definitely my weakness.

I'm hoping this project puts me in a different frame of mind and gets me out of this funk.

Thanks for all the comments and well wishes.

Hoping to get started on this next week. 3 or 4 hours a day seems doable we will see. I need to clean the shop some first to be able to get it on the lift.

We will see if my current wife still likes me after the tear down stage and she has to do most of the labor and make decisions about the direction of this project.

Her mother died 2/5/20 after a long slow death from smoking for 70 years.
It was pretty hard on her and we both need to work on our mental states.
Hoping this old flat fender Willys will give us a common goal and something not so depressing to talk about..
