Winter Doldrums have set in and shop was slow so I decided that it was time to focus on more fun and Challenged the guys to a 3 week build...
on the cheap...
so far the car has cost $25.00!
Start date: February 22, 2016
This 1929 Chevy has been found in pieces in the woods and on the river banks of our area, Arco has found all of it while hiking, except one rear quarter panel, we bought that from an old timer here in town, for $25. The frame was pulled out of the woods and up until about 20 years ago it was used as the frame of a hay wagon and the wheels all still turn and the brakes were in working order( we are obviously updating them but still so cool! The engine and tranny are gifts from our friend, as well as the wheels and tires, we trade work a lot so maybe not technically free but no money was exchanged.
Basically we have just about everything we need and want on the car and all we have to do is put it together and do some fabrication...so we will have to see what happens but they are jazzed so it should be fun, oh and as of right now its a 2 guy build for about 7 hours.
The plan is build this car for as little money out of pocket as possible, as quick as possible, trading work is ok but I want as few people helping Arco as possible, so he can build the car we want without a lot of background noise and other people's ideas muddying up the process...I want to have this car done by March 10!!
