My friend found this 1930's ish dodge sedan sitting in someones backyard in a nearby town.
I'll be going tomorrow to have a decent look at it but was just wondering on what sorta price i should be paying for it if i decide to go through with it. He says he wants around $4000 [S

Everything is still there on it, and the guy still has the original wire wheels and engine in his shed and its from a dry climate so it isn't too rusty he reckons.(anything that inst a pickup seems to be quite hard to find in Australia witch has got me interested)

Any advice on the beast would be helpful before i go and make an insulting offer haha :D

I would value that car much the same as WB3 does, but we don't live in Australia. Hopefully some Aussie members will pipe up. HALLnRODZ perhaps?

Well, as a buyer $4000 would insult me for that car. Not that it isn't cool but $1500 would be tops for what I see.

Yeah that's the more like what i thought it would be worth, as we all know what you ask and what you get are two different things :p haha i'll take some more photos when i go look at it today.

What's it worth to you in Australia? Around here you could probably sell a 4dr like that for $2,000. If I took a weekend and drove to where Willowbilly3 lives, I bet I could find something as good or better for $500.

Thing is it's a 4dr, if that's not what you're after, what will you do with it? Make it like a Bantam 2dr?

If i got it i think I'd just put a flathead v8 in it and call it a day haha
I prefer the shape of the 4 door and they don't seem to come up for sale very often around here , so if the guys willing to take around $2000-$3000 for it i think I'll buy it

I went to have a look at it today, i forgot those old things are half made of wood and conveniently it had been in a fire at some point so all the floor was gone. and it was quite rusty.
she might be a bit to ambitious of a project for a noob like me haha i think i'll stick with doing my 49 pickup for the time being
