I picked up a 34 cab the other day for $50 and it needs ALOT of work. Being a 34 truck and all, I figured I couldnt pass it up for that price. So basically I was hoping that someone out there that has a similar cab could give me a few dimensions so I can try and get this thing squared up and patch panels installed so it can sit for the day when I can actually do something with it.The doors are in BAD shape, meaning I cant get a accurate measurement off them ,and there is absolutely no floor so I am starting blind here in every direction.
Basically I need: distance from door jam,to cowl at the upper, then again at the lower hinge.
Then I would also like a measurement from bottom of cab at the door jam across to other side.....so from passenger, to driver side.
I would also like to see some pics of what ya'll truck guys did to add structure to the inside, and what yall did for floors.I used the "search feature",and you know how that goes.....if I dont word it rite it doesnt really help.

A picture of the pile you have may help with suggestions. Since you're considering building this, don't be so concerned whether it is going to be exactly right. This is the time where you build what you want. Alot of the work we do is chopping and channeling which means the dimensions change in several places and "making" it fit is the idea of building a rat. If you're considering doing a restore, you might start with a better project to begin with. On the floors, once you have an idea of the body shape, the sub-frame would be layed in with these thoughts in mind. Put the braces in places where strength is needed to support the floor. Also keep in mind other things that may interfere. ie...the transmission.
I don't know of a 34 International in the builds to recommend looking for. I did a build with very little to start with on my Ford. You may find some info usable there...

Thank you smallfoot for the reply, I will get some pics of the "pile" lol tomorrow. The cab is currently at my brothers house and I was super busy when I finally picked it up from the seller, and dropped in off at my bro's. I am familiar with how to structure the floor, and brace the body. I am really looking for truck motivation if you will. I'm not going for a resto,or a show peace by any means but forgive me here guys.....rat rods aren't really my thing. My builds are more unfinished drive-able projects than anything else. Improper door gaps, dents, and rust though make me cringe. I dont know what one would call my "style" but I'm funny that way I guess. The requested measurements were for reference in straightening my wadded doors up.

Not sure measurements are what you need. I would start with the doors making sure they open and close properly and then square everything else up. That's probably going to be your best bet. Just my 2 cents!

The doors are mangled,I need the fixed measurement of the door opening at the upper, and lower hinge location so I can brace the body. If the doors were in good enough shape to use as a guide I wouldn't even be asking for help.
