thanks agdeuce and tim... im sure i didnt do everything the "right way" but its my first chop so it was a learning experience. i had to look for a cab that was this solid for a long time, everything over here in missouri is so rusted that its held together by rat poop and weeds. once i finish the leading i will start to lay out my wheel base with a mock up, then start the frame. havent done much on the truck lately but i thought i would post what ive been working on lately. been doing some airbrushing lately.

Not Bad for stencil work......start light with your stencils and then add highlights.

Im in centerview Missouri. Yeah im beginning to learn that thanks. I have some other ones im working on right now but they aren't done yet. I've just started to teach myself how to airbrush.

So I havent made much progress, life has been crazy lately. But i did manage to set the cab on the frame to start mocking things up. I also found my engine... a 12v cummins diesel [cl i just have drive out to wyoming to get it.

Just a few pics of what i've been able to work on. i have the rear axle mocked up as well and will post some pics to get some opinions on wheel base.

rolled the axle in place to mock up the wheel base and get some type of measurements for the frame. let me know what you think.

yes sir it sure is...haha. I want the ride height to be about 4 inches and the wheel base right now is at 135 inches.

Here's mine 134" wb, no chop and 4.5" ride height.

Realistically, with those WB numbers, you better have air bags to clear steep driveways.
I'm at around 140", and I'm no lower than 6" frame height but I also do not have bags....

I have not driven with the longer WB, but just looking at approach angles, could be interesting...

yeah i have thought about going that route cause it will sit so low. just need to find a good deal on the airbag set up.

Mine sat low with some 14 inch tires on the front. These damn Indiana roads are bad, would have left the grill and oil pan somewhere on the road side so I went with some 15" 29.5 height wide whites.

a little more progress

Got to work on the driver side frame rail a little bit. I got the back half all tacked together now and just need to square it up with the rest of the frame rail and weld it up. the last pic is of just me holding it so that's why its crooked.
