This is a car we just just updated, and did a full restoration on at the shop where I work...

...originally built in the mid-60's, from upstate New York...it's an old Fiberglass Trends all 'glass body...we fixed the frame, updated the cage, swapped out the early Olds rear for a 9" Ford, all new aluminum interior panels, new Lexan windows, switched it over to rack-n-pinion steering, and installed a fresh 540" blown gas big block Chevy...

My buddy Charlie Vickery straightened out the body, and painted it HOK Candy Red over an Orion Silver base, and added the Candy Brandywine lace panels...another friend, Steve Fairman, did the Rat Fink-style font lettering in 12K white gold leaf...

It's still running it's original '60's magnesium American and Halibrand wheels...

Gary, we tracked down some history from right after it was built, to the current owners...originally it was purple, and called the "Grape Ape", it was in that version for years...after it came to Michigan years ago, someone painted it an ugly orangy-red, and changed the name to "ATTACK", with the lettering being some cheap vinyl stick-on stuff...the current owner liked the name, and wanted to keep it...we just made it alot better!
