This is my 49 ford F-3. With the front sub from an s-10 we also used a 4 wheel drive s-10 rear axel with disc brakes Has a chevy box on it with a ford tailgate.

The truck looks pretty cool! Nice work!

Just a suggestion, we have had a couple other members have issues with motor mounts with that setup. You will likely just snap the bolts off in the block with that method because the torque of the motor is not supported, but rather the mount creates a lever arm...

Thanks guys. Yeah the motor mounts were just something to try. I don't know how long they will last. But thanks for the input. I'll keep an eye on them. Haven't really got to drive it hard, just putt down the road and back. Thanks Chris

We started with a 1949 ford f-3 cab and front clip. Got a chevy box which was channeled and shorten and ford tailgate. The s-10 donated the front and rear clip, front with 2" drop spindles rear with 3" blocks. We used a 1952 Ford middle section for the cab mounts and trans mount. Got 4x4 rear from an s-10 with disc brakes and 3.73 gear with posi. The motor came from a machine shop in town that someone had built then walked away from. Put a c-6 behind that. Lots of swap meet parts. It only took about 10 years to complete. Hopefully I can get more seat time out of it this year, we finished it late fall. Thanks for looking Chris

Yea it does. Wife says at the beginning is that thing ever gonna get done? I was like yeah some day. Ten years later here we are. Thanks Chris

TEN YEARS??

Mine took just over a year and that was too long (didn't work on it in the winter though...) I couldn't imagine spending 10 years working on something I couldn't drive. Looking good!

Yeah, we started with the cab first. Then about a year later I got married. Then our first of 3 children were born. So the truck kinda took to the back burner. But I still kept at collecting parts for over the years. Then at the begining of last year dad asked if had all my parts for it. I was I think so. We started to put it together from there it was 8 months from start to finish. Of coarse it's still not done. I still have to add a horn and work on ground clearence. It sits to low my steel toe boots just fit under the running boards. But I'll drive more first to see.[cl
