1950 F1 front axle issue

I have the Chevy/geo tracker wheels on mine for mock up and they have a large inset ! might get a pair from a junk yard and if they dont work see if you can take them back before you buy them

This would be slick if you didn't have to modify any wheels.

Yes it would be. My buddy owns a junk yard and I am going to see him Monday with fingers crossed.

They are aluminum with center caps but you might could throw a set of screw on moon discs to keep the old school look. Only the guy who changes your oil would know. Which I'm betting is you. The center caps might fit. Look at my build thread to see. I'd post a pic but it's a pain at work.

they have several styles steel wheels. but i dont know if any of them are dished enough for hubcaps
