Wish I had my old 62 Falcon van back; first project I ever put a different manufacturers motor in. I had a small block Chevy/700r4 in it. Should have hung onto that one.

I had a few days off so I cleaned up several more things and bolted them on the engine, primered the back doors, and cleaned up all the pieces of the doghouse and painted them. I was going to use bedliner on the floor but decided to go with a full rubber floor mat so I just painted the floor. I hope to get all the guide coat sanded off the back doors this weekend.

Finished sanding the back doors today, got all my shift linkage rebuilt with new grommets and put in, and put the heater together and back in. Should be starting on the wiring pretty soon.

Yeah, I’m planning on hanging onto this one for a while. My daughter and son in law are getting ready to build a house and I need to do some work on ours. Need to hold off on any full blown builds for a while once this is on the road.

I shot the rest of the doors with Slicksand today; now I need to sand them, shoot the whole van with 2k, wet sand, and it’s ready for color. I’m glad, I’m getting burned out on bodywork. Also started wiring the engine and the dash.

What you've been doing is exactly why I build little cars and leave them rough. I admire your tenacity. You must be "younger".

BTW, how do you like "slick sand"?

I’m 51 and hopefully have lot of builds ahead of me, Bob. Slick sand is really nice; I’m anxious to see how it helps the finished product.

Now for a trip around the whole thing with some wet 400 and she’s ready for color

Thank you, Jesus! Sanding is done and I put the sealer in the drip rails today. My buddy Kyle is going to shoot the color for me next week.
