2017 calendar?

Are we going to do one again this year?[S I'm game if everybody wants me to do another. Don't think I'll do but one this year if I do it though, just too much to do two, but I might change my mind. Y'all let me know what you think, if you do, we'll decide on a theme for this year. As always, it will be open to all RRR members and their rides.

in 2017, you can re-use calendars from these years:

2006, 1995, 1989, 1978, 1967, 1961, 1950, 1939, 1933, and 1922.



l think it would be cool to do some with different years or just one that coincides with next year from 1922.

My question is, who keeps old calendars? [S Mine get tossed on Jan 1.
In total honesty, I do have a copy of every calendar that one of my cars was on.

Only trouble is it's from Canada and I don't think it will work here, with them being on the Metric system.

if you are printing them there probably away to to it, if using a print shop they can put any year you want on the page.

Just a thought. What about an advertisement style for the year of your ride to match one of those years mentioned above. If not a past, make it for the future year. { come on, who would ever have thought that a $600-800 car of the day would be today's value?}

Example: 2075...."Local barn find. Looks to have some sort of contraption to allow a liquid fuel into the odd looking engine. " "Very unique styling of some past culture of the early days of the century, " "Turn of the century technology..."

After sleeping on it, I might just make two after all. I'm thinking a ratty one like last year, and one with RRR members musclecars. The old advertisement idea sounds good, maybe y'all could incorporate some kinds of old automobile related memorabilia in the pics of your rats, like oil cans, service station stuff, old closed dealership background, you get the idea! What do you think?

I wish I could do something like that skull, but I'm not that good. I can do pics, but haven't figured any way to cut an object from a pic and paste it with the program I use.

So, what's the verdict? We doing this again this year? If we do, I'll need 23 pics, 12 rats and 11 musclecars if I do both calendars. If nobody wants the musclecar calendar, I can just do the rats, or mix them up for one calendar. I'm not putting my Lincoln in this years, haven't got any fresh pics of it, but if I do a musclecar one I'll put the wife's Firebird Formula in it. If I get more than enough pics for each one to have it's own page, I will do a collage of the remainder. I know you guys have some great picture taking skills, you've proven it in the contest. Heck, most of those pics would make a good page!

It's already Nov 12, so we need to get this going if it's going to happen so it can be ready to order before Christmas.

You are confused with Australia. The numbers go backwards - and upside down

There was some kind of photo contest on RRR. Might find some cool pics from it?

If I still had Photoshop, I'd do some old style advertisements. But, I no longer have it on this PC.

Now there's a good idea Sam! Kind of a good door prize to those that didn't make the top 3. I don't know if it will be ready for Christmas though, that was my main concern, I know some folks like to give them out as presents. My work time makes it hard to say how quick I can do it, hopefully in a couple of weeks if not sooner.

Is that OK with y'all? As always, I give credit to the photographer, my only role is assembling them into a package.

Next question, how to pick the pics? In voted order? So many good ones to choose from, hate to leave any out. Looks like there are 18 pics? Might have to combine some on some pages.

Sam, it was your idea for the pic contest, let me know how you think we should go about it.

I went through the pics that made it to the Wall of Fame.

There are 11 guys that made it to the end, so these are one from each. Not sure if any of them are from last years calendar. Dunno what you should do for #12.
