2x4x1/8th wall for frame?

Is it stout enough? Why not? The original frame is 1/8th and not even boxed.

Gonna be a small motored bobber with just a cab.

Right at the range where some guys say no, some guys say yes. I would have no issues with it.

Thanks, I just read part of a tech artical where they used 2 x 3 1/8th wall so I'm sure I'll be OK.

On bobber cabs 30s/mid 40s, I use 2x3x3/16. On 20s 2x3x1/8 (really its .120 wall). Total Performance Model A frames were 2x3x1/8".
