You may want to tie the upper and lower hair pin rods together at the shock mount. You may find the shock mounted to just the lower bar alone will cause it to flex quite a bit and posibly fail down the road. just my $.02 [P

I agree on the load on one bar, but this looks like a four-link set-up to me. So tying the two bars together isn't going to work out well either.

The shock mounts are way cool looking sitting way back there, but it also looks to me like they need to move forward so the shocks can hook up to the axle. Some traditional styling pretty much stays that way for a reason.

Or am I missing something here. [S

OOPS, My bad. I just looked at the top of the page, and they are hairpins for sure. That said, it still seems like a lot of stress on a light part of the suspension. Even with the two bars tied together, which would help.

Nice work on the Chevy. If I was rich I'd fly up there and make you give me a ride when it's done.

Love the body manufacturer's brass tag on the cowl.
