Nice fab work. I like the way it's coming together. Just curious if Olds ever used a captive mount like the chevys did. I used to thrash a couple Olds when I was younger and was always ripping those motor mounts apart. Put a set of 8" slicks on my little 64 Cutlass with a stock 330 4 speed and almost new motor mounts, the engine about came through the hood the first time I launched it.

Thanks WB3, couldn't say on the mounts.... this little Olds is
just a weak 307 probably not enough power to pull out of a
wet bag... but it did run well before it got pulled, as long as
it gets there...and back I'll be happy....

a piece of chain ?

In the late 50's early 60's we used to use a short piece of chain with a little slack bolted from the engine to the frame. and I finally saw a shop with more roll arounds than I have, but 3 are in the old farmstead shop where we used to spend the winters and 2 are in the house garage here. and lots of unfinished projects. .

It's still a motor capable of a hp per cube with little work. Don't believe you'd have any probs spinning the rubber right off the rims with it....

Nice job on Fab'ing up the sheetmetal Parts.[cl
I did the floor in my custom truck with 16 Gauge and had to use a hand sledge to bend it over.
I went to 18 Gauge for the rockers and box extensions that I built. After working with the 16 Gauge the 18 felt like tinfoil....[ddd
Keep at it. [P [P
