So me and the IRON CHEF (my buddy Denny) chopped my 39 this past week.
We cut 3" out. Left the rear window the original size and laid back the pillars.
Also installed some bucket seats using the LAKE RAT designed swivel.
Here are a bunch of pics. Bare with me, I took pics of the build. When I went to download is when I notice the camera was screwed up. Used a different one to complete build. You'll see when pics change.

Thanks Lungs

Added some bucket seats with the LAKE RAT designed swivel.
To avoid metal on metal when swiveling, we used a cheap cutting board to make a plastic gasket. It's white at where base meets seat.

Very Nice

Y'all done a good job on the chop [cl
Thanks for posting the procedure. Looks like things went fairly smooth [;)
We need a grinding smiley. hint hint

Thanks for the comments.

Yes they make swivel bases for boats......... but buying and making are two completely different things.

With a RAT you make or use what you have!

With a pretty boy car you buy!

These I had a boat pedestal and we cut it in half then we made the mount.

Sam and Bonehead I never noticed that. In the after pic the front of bed looks about 1" higher than the rear.

Thanks Lungs

Update

Welds skim coated and prepped. Now primed.

been thinking two different color schemes.

Traditional Satin Black and red

or

Distressed to look like rust.

Whadaya think
