Finished pic of gas tank. I covered the sending unit top with a modified tractor muffler cap. Kinda a tribute to my grandpa who was a farmer all his life. It is 10" round and 42" long. Should be about 14 gallons.

Made a pivoting floor to allow easy access to things underneath.
used some pipe in the center then added 3/4" rod in the ends of it. Put some hardware store bearings in some 1.5" pipe and mounted them to the bed sides.
Should allow for some smooth, no grease, no noise movement.

floor and bed shots.
Used some old tounge groove wood i found in the barn here.

The gas tank is just sitting there. Its not mounted up so its not sitting straight up in case you noticed my gas cap was not staright up and down.

Well i drove it today for the first time... well sorta anyway.

Changed out the starter and that fixed that problem.

Got it up and running, did a in the ballpark home alighnment and off i went... for about 50 feet past my driveway until my cheap #$%&* @%^&* throttle pedal i got broke. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

The little square male and female holes that mate up just rounded off. Get what you pay for i guess. sigh....

I couldn't let it spoil my test drive.. so turned the idle way up and rolled down the road and back in first gear. Was great to finally drive it a bit even if i was in first idling along at about 15 mph. Was a great feeling!

So i'm in the hunt for a decent throttle pedal cable assembly if anyone has one to reccomend. Nothing fancy.. just a decent quality one!!

oh.. and my new Autometer Quad gauge doesn't work right out of the box. nice.....

ah well.. i drove and it left the barn for the first time ever! I'll drink some beer to that!!

ok, i might have missed it since i just now found this build and quickly scanned the last 9 pages but did you build the 4 link rear or did you buy it from somewhere? when i build mine i want to bag it and i havent figured out if i am going to build my 4 link or i am just going to buy it from somewhere.

If you did build it, could you give me some pointers on what tubing you used.

No i bought mine.

Welder Series makes a nice kit you can adjust to lenght etc.. and looks to be very good quality. I would have used it but saw it after i bought mine.

looks like the karma worked in your favor!! well built, and looks like a fun driving ride! keep the pics coming! later, brian

Well i had reached full burnout on this truck so i took 7 weeks off from it.

Finally got to really drive it today after a bunch more work. Got it done just a few hours before dark and i couldnt stop driving it. Waited to long and the sun was nearly down before i got all the bird and bat poop washed off it and took a couple pics. Didn't have time to dry it or anything, so the pics suck and i'll get better ones later.

Interior is far from done. The center area behind the steering wheel with the 1 quad qauge is just temporary till i get a speedo(no $$) and then i'll contour a peice to match the curve of the dash with some big pipe to hold the gauges.

But.. its just a windshield away from being fully legal.
Felt great to give it hell today! Runs good, no issues. My home alignment was pretty decent i guess. She drove pretty good.
Nobody around to take a driving pics though.

Roughly 11 months from start to now i think.

Very nice truck. I cringe everytime I see a thread start talking about IFS and fenderless. You have made a believer out of me that it can be done. Key thing is you have have to have someone with your dedication. Most just slap something together. Also 11 months on this build is great. Sounds like you took some time off so you once again did better than most. Thanks for sharing. [cl

your grandfather would be proud i think... maybe speechless but that is one great looking motor vehicle you have there -- i love it.
