How about an intro with pictures? ;)

Every once in awhile I think about ways of sticking a 4x4 front axle out in front like a suicide axle would sit.

I found this one just a bit ago. Thought it was appropriate for this thread.

Barber, I know where you are coming from. I was reading your thread and what you were going to do with your white bronco. I started on a tube crawler and quit because of funds. Could have used those Rockwells, wasn't satisfied with half tons so I put it on hold.

I did like the way it looked in this pic when I had the chassi sitting on the axles..

This is what I was going for before I stopped working on it.

I know it's not a rat but I thought it looked like it would be a lot of fun when it was sitting on the ground....

Alright, i know this is a couple of weeks old, but i forgot about my friends bel-air.

Its not a rat, but it is 4 wheel drive. Its a 57 belair, canary yellow, everything that was chrome is still chrome. Very good looking car. Unfortunately, i dont have any clean pics, and this is the only pic i do have. Its on a 70 something blazer frame i believe, mildly built 350, no lift and 33's.

Yep... that's pretty much where I was going with mine.... but with early Bronco sheetmetal, Rockwells and atleast 44 inch tires... but then the economy took a **** and I sold the Rockwells... but I still have the rest and will keep the plans on the backburner for awhile...

If I can getthe pictures off of my phone I will post them here. A guy comes into my work and his driver is a 31(?) Model A he made into an extended cab pickup mounted on a full-size blazer 4X4 chassis complete with V-8, full hood and fenders.

Not really rat but the IH is my daily the chev will be done soon and be my trailer hauler :)
