Thanks for the comments, I wanted to be able to see behind me when I look back.
Picked up me a Nasty powerplant last night. Just not sure what truck I want to put it in. May get me a 3500 converter and drop it in my 64 for now. Want to put my 468 in this Rat.

Also picked me up a 496 Vortec to go in the 68C10. Should make a great towing motor
Been getting some more welding and grinding done. I did locate some doors and a rolling frame for the truck.
What I have in mind for this is Metal top clear coated, satin black bottom and bed, and the nose will be metal clear coated also.
Also picked me up some Ladder bars for a cool $50
Then I ended up getting me a 402 to build. Got most of the parts to build it. Will need to get me a tunnel ram for it still.
Thanks, the tow rig has a target master 350 thats burning more water than oil so its about to receive a new motor and trans. Then got to beef up the suspension so it dont squat anymore.
I wanted to keep the full back window, but wanted it to have a lower look to it. Its turning how I wanted it now got to get that frame setup. Would like to have this going by spring time.
Got the frame pulled in the garage today. Started taking it apart getting it ready to cut for the Z. Not going to use the stock rear, I have a GM 12 Bolt instead. May get it cut on friday and then start putting it back together.
I think I "Z'ed" mine like 12" in the rear and 9" in the front...this will let you keep the cab floor in the stock location...might make for a little bit more comfortable experience when you drive it. I put a 1968 Camaro rear end in mine...It was just about a direct bolt in I think. I have pics I think of the frame chopping I did if you want to see them. I can email them.
Made it home from Jewett,TX yesterday and started back to work on the frame this morning. Should have this welded back tonight. Just came in to get some food and drink, then back out to fire up the lincoln buzz box.
Looks like the leaf pads are only about an 1" wider than the frame which makes it easy for me. I will get some coil mounts to put on the frame and bolt the coils to the leaf pads. I already have some air shocks, now just need coils and a panhard. Looking at cutting V's in the rear frame to Z it up.
Started on the rear Z, got it cut and the first angle put in. Should get the rest done this weekend.
Going to add these pieces that I removed here, and then fish plates and box in the rest.
The rear of the frame will be about 9" above the cab resting area. Since work is really slow right now, im trying to use as much as I already have. So far I am not to much into this project, still got to decide what engine will power this rod.
