Weeeeelllllll finally got back on this build and got a good start on the frame
As You all know the tires are 32" tall so the front and rear z sections are rather tall.
I took ZZ's lead on the double layered frame work. This one has a 2"x 3"x 3/16" lower rectangle tubing and a 2" x 2" upper square tubing top layer.
The joints have 1/4" internal gussets with rosette welds along with beveled ends to have a 100% penetration weld seam. The tubing ends overlap by 2" for strength.
I tapered the front frame section from 3" to 2" over the axle and it will have curved frame horns extending out on each side of the radiator surround.
The bottom of the chassis will be 5" off the ground and the wheelbase will be 116"
