Well this project took a back seat for awhile.
Chopped 5" front 8" rear, stretched doors 8", suicide and weld rears shut.
Widened quarters 1.5" and stretched 5"
Long Long way to go!!!!
Few photos and my helper

Very, very nice.
Like your helper too. I have 3 helpers my self. Now if I could only teach them the difference between a box and an open end wrench....

Hard top or Post

Thanks for interest! I will try to find some other pictures.
Looking for thoughts on Roof/doors- Post or Hard top?
This is up in the air, post will be easier to deal with glass. Hardtop might look cooler?????

My $.02 I like the look of posts over hard top on a heavy chop.

This is where GJunktionMike and I part company. I would go with the hardtop look. Most factory hardtops from that era already had a lower roof height than the sedans. Too me sedan posts on a hard chop make it look squished.(My 2 cents).
Take a look at the legendary Matranga Merc for some ideas on making a cool looking hardtop out of a sedan. Earlier era than yours but you will get the idea.

Super Cad

I love someone who's not afraid to cut it up and weld it back together. No rear glass, interesting, i'll have to think about that. As for the post, I would say no, I like the open look.
again, great work.
waiting for the next installment [P
