55 Commander

This followed me home today. Rough but we can work with it. 1955 Studebaker Commander. Bought it with 2 engines, 1970 500 Cadillac and SBC.

Steel ones are hard to find. One piece fiberglass fronts ends are available.
This one is at least 4 projects out.

Back b4 airboats got so fancy with gear reduction set-ups and carbon fiber props, those old 500 caddy motors were preferred by a bunch of people. You could get a cam from Crane that would barely let you turn 4000 on the tach and hook it to an 84" wood prop (safe within 3500 rpm) with the right pitch and off ya go...water or no...
