I got some old highway signs good thick aluminum I used some for a fan shroud and made a battery box was going to weld but welder been to busy, so rivets and angle, got hoses and belts sorted out
Looks great! Those old signs are made of some good aluminum. I made a front engine mount plate for a SBC drag car out of some one time. Hard as heck to bend, so it was plenty stiff for the mount plate, engine never moved an inch. Painted the yellow side black, left the new front bare.
Uck Oh, now everybody will be stealing highway signs to make stuff out of![ddd
thanks I always liked the style myself, slow progress lately dad had heart surgery right before the holidays , then I got bronchitis. but got some rubber on the front rims and made some throttle linkage
sent heads to machinist this afternoon for valves and seats , engine ran good when removed internals look good so far I,ll pull the short block this week end and go through the rest
I like the shape of that cab, looking on google images for what a 63 mack looks like on its original chassis I can really appreciate what it looks like on a 1/2 ton sized chassis. nice work!
