81 f250.. Rat rod Inspired??

Is an 81 to new to rat out?

Its an 81 f250 2wd.. wanna slam it, flat black and white walls.
Use it as a Tow/parts hauler. its beet up but runs great.. no interior.. seems to me to be a good canidate.

NO RAT!

Sorry to burst you bubble, but that truck will never be a rat no matter what you do to it. What you will have is a beat up, black primerd, 80,s Ford truck. Save you money buy some old 50,s or earlier truck, they are still plentiful and cheap.

Might look cool. Long bed stylesides look good slammed! How about a dark flat color (I'd go with blue, myself) with white scallops and white steel wheels with baby moons. Wouldn't turn your truck into a RPU, but it would have that classic hot rod style.

Personally I'd like to do that with a 2001 F250 shortbed.

id would do what i wanted with it like graft 40s pickup lights on it and drop body and get rid of the boxy style.work with what u have

It was all I had to work with. I say go for it.

Fords are tough to slam in the front without buying expensive dropped I-beams or switching to a wishbone suspension. Not trying to discourage, but just saying.
