As a foster parent
I have had a total of 37 foster children over the past 15 years.... some for a short time and some for a year or two.... I've had as many as 7 in the house at one time plus my own kids..... There isn't one of them that I wouldn't have given my life for.... doesn't make me a hero or a saint, makes me a Dad.....all that you've said Torchman is profound and truly, we never know what we are capable of until that moment arrives.....As a Dad, you do whatever you need to do to protect your children... 1 child or 13..... doesn't really matter.... what matters is in the heart and the love and security you can provide....JMHO
