Went to the all original car show put on by the HASSIE club. Great show great venue. My wife likes to take her 48.

This year they had a great race car display.
This first one is a PanAM car that came in third at one time. The driver said he's been in the race 4 times. Cool car.

Jim Tipke was a local chassis builder, I went to high school with his daughter, I guess I should have dated her, I might have learned something useful. Build most, if not all of the local high budget cars of the day.

In 1972 he built this car for Tom Sneva, another local racer.

This Town and Country drop head coupe was parked next to us. Owned by an 85 year young gentleman. Bought it in 62.

Got to looking and realized how much the rear end resembles a Chris Craft wooden boat. Even the backup lights resembling the exhaust pipes. But then again I have a vivid emagination.

This car won peoples choice award and rightly so. The last year of the real Packard and a fantastic one at that. Factory reversible upholstery even.
Beautiful example of a truly classic automobile.
