just read where your headers are cracking at the mounting flange.
when mine did that i heliarced them from the head side opening and
bronze brazed them, which stress relieved the tubes and acts as a shock absorber.

Good advice BN. I just fillet welded the tubes to the header/intake flange. Thin metal to thick metal. I'm pretty sure I didn't get enough penetration into the flange. Your suggestion to add some brass reinforcement is good.
