Another bronco

So a good family friend drug his bronco from Kalispell Montana to central Washington for me to do some work on it for him. Inner fender and floor board rust repair. Also I get to build a full cage for it!!

Started with the rust repair

We got the rust repair all done and started designing parts for the cage

Does a gusseted cowl do ok in a serious roll over? I have seen it built like that before, but have never seen one "tested".

This style mount is better than no cage, but I wouldn't take it to Baja, or king of the hammers hahahaha. It allows you to still have a functional glove box and saved toned of foot room. The rest of the cage is 2" .120 wall and is plated like normal in the back. It will do its job in a flop.

This little bronco is this guys baby. She is an occasional forest road cruiser and a run around town rig.

Broncos and rust sure seem to go together.

Back in high school (graduated in 74) my buddy and I spent a full grade period in our senior year rebuilding the door hinge area, firewall sides, rockers, and the rear quarters on an early 70 Bronco, It was only about 3 years old at the time, and was rotted away pretty bad by then already.
