does any one know what the mods problem is on that site? seems most of the time when i post something it gets deleted. when i send him a pm about why it was deleted he says it is his site and can delete what he wants, if i dont like it i can leave. now i could understand if i was talking poorly on the site or spamming it up. but i really am not. one time he told me i can not sell anything on his site unless i pay to advertise. so i dont advertise, but now i cant ask questions about what market interest there is in certain products, how my product looks. pretty much i am not allowed to post anything that show what i can do in my shop, in case some one might see it and pay me to do work. am i just out of line her, or does he seem to just have a grudge for no reason?

I posted a build thread of my International truck...and it was deleted - I pm'd the mod and asked what forum rules I broke and he goes "that's not a rat rod...that's some silly pickup truck with a small ****ty engine and too many wheels out back." REALLY??!?!?!

I got a thread deleted for suggesting a herringbone stitch was just a glorified feather stitch. But I got banned for telling a guy he shouldn't even bother using muslin behind a pinwheel pattern!

Maybe you should do a 'How-to' or 'Scenes from the shop' or some other photo heavy idea for Trippers new Rag? Free advertising....

i still go there and read a little, but i don't post much.

I have given that site a few tries over the years and always go away after a little while because it just has an odd vibe to it. I just found the administration and some of the members to be a little on the crude side, with a lot of chest puffing and high school mentality.

It is like those pictures you see of a bunch of guys with their arms crossed like they are gangstas or something, or the ones with guys giving the finger. Just not my cup o tea.

I started on that site and the only info anyone could suggest was buy it at speedway and when you argued he question they would get real rude.

That site isn't worth the hassle. I only go there occasionally to look at the classified and read someof the threads.

I've poked around on a few hot/rat rod forums and the 2 friendly ones are RatrodsRule and ClubHotrod. I tend to lurk and watch on all the forums as its so easy to trigger an effwit into giving you a hard time over nothing.

Kind of amusing to me that this thread popped up just barely a week after becomming a member here. I registered at both sites within minutes of each other, RRR was the first to grant acceptance (that evening!). So on I went posting up intro and pics. Three days later I finally get the acceptance email from KB. So I go there with the same enthusiasm as I did here but alas.. it was as if some strange force, a gut feeling (that could have been the chili I ate), a sense of reluctance to post overwhelmed me the further I delved into the site. I just shrugged it off and resolved myself to just being active here because of the true atmosphere of friendship and Rust Rod/Hot Rod comraderie.

Seems to me that some admins feel that you are to belong to just their site and no others.....We have a Canadian HR site that the admin wont even allow PMs for fear of the members talking without the admin knowing what they are talking about.......
These forums should compliment each other rather than trying to alienate each other....Get your info from a number of sources and then decide what you want to do.....nothing wrong with that, but some admins think its some sort of contest

Hell, I belong to more than 50 forums......if I get banned for saying so, so be it
