We started out by heading to northern Colorado for a estate auction with several old cars/trucks. The model As went for crazy money IMO but the 50s stuff was reasonable.

complete and is one with the open valve train.

I also got several model A grill shells and radiators. Ill have pics of those tomorrow.

We headed south to garden of the gods and did some mountain side cruising.

I don't have a pic of the rock formation we climbed but these are the views from it.

My buddy climbing up to me. The pic don't do any justice.

The old crew used to live in this building. I couldn't imagine living at this elevation.

If you plan on going on this trip you need to be in shape. I watched two ederly lady's pass out. I had to go get staff each time so they could give them oxygen. The peak is over 14k ft.

Finally loaded and heading east again.

Wow! What a fun trip! Picking up old cars, getting out in beautiful country. You are livin' the life Eric! Thanks for these awesome pix.

All together at the auction I bought.

11 model A grill shells
2 enduro dirt bikes
Part of A 1925 Chevy truck
A mid to late 30s Chevy chassis (it had a front axle with power brakes and it was CHEAP)
A Cadillac breather for my rpu
A skid of copper wire for $20 :D

I think that's it. The rest I already had bought from friends in New Mexico.

Glad everyone enjoys the pics.

Looks like a sweet trip!!! Too bad the #%^&ing idiots have to deface something so beautiful with spray paint...

The amount of trash at the top was unbelievable. I bet I could of filled a 5 gallon bucket with cig butts.

I just don't get how people can be so careless about keeping things nice for everyone to enjoy. The rule I try to teach my daughter even when we are camping is that we leave it a little cleaner than when we got there... its a shame that most people have such little respect for this planet, and others...
