Water sucks

I’m more a rough in carpenter. I worked for a few years as a concrete form carpenter, where close was good enough. I don’t mind doing interior work, but I hate doing the finishing mouldings ! I’ve been putting off doing the ones in my bathroom, finally started on them yesterday. Hard to make stuff fit on a old house where nothing is square! I’ll probably end up using some tinted wood putty , like bondo for wood LOL, to match up the corner gaps. You know what they say, I cut it three times and it’s still too short! That’s they way my angles work out, cut them several times and they still won’t meet up. Frustrating!

Actually a lot of finish guys I work around use good ol Bondo!! Hahahahaha


I finally got back on this today. Base and crown are up, ship lap is done, counter tops are cut. Now lots of caulking and then primer and paint next weekend. Getting closer. Then on to the next spot!!

I had alot of water damage couple years ago but came from the outside...rain/flood. No coverage for that.....arggg

Got lots done today. Not all I wanted to but a fare amount.

I got the slider door hung for the bathroom. Also got the ceiling and the can light in above the washer and dryer. I removed the old washer box and dryer vent in the hallway, then started the patchwork there. Removed the sink from the bathroom and started patching there. Then I assembled a cabinet to go in the place of the washer and dryer to house kits tous,games and art supplies. I just put the last coat of butcher board protector on my counter tops. Getting closer

Still picking away at the basement. The wife painted today and I started building the bench and filling up the space where we removed the cabinets from that we put in the new laundry area
