Anybody from or know Cincinnati hwy system ?

I will be travelling to Knoxville next week form Michigan and will be traveling thru Cincinnati via 75 [71] is it better to drove through town or the outer beltway
I was thinking of stopping for the night just north of town and travel through early morning …..any ideas… construction hassles ?
It has been 35 years since I was there last

I dont know we traveled once a year from Alabama to Ohio, and My father always timed it out to go threw Cincinnati around 1 or 2 am. he said there was nobody on the road ,, other wise you had to drive one foot on gas and the other on the brake , there is about a 6 or 8 lane road and if your not in the lane you need to be in your not going to get there ...during peek hrs It may have improved in the past 10 years IDK.

I remember of a fella on here who was close to the ohia river some place .. maybe he will see the post and can help ya out . I cant pull up the weather up there right now but I would think its just as messed up there as it is here ..

I75-cincy I71

I live about 30 min north of cincy. From 6:00am-9:00am or 4:00pm-6:00pm Be sure to drive a Sherman tank full armed.

Traffic is horrid at these times. Drivers are ass`es. Cops only in the area when they have too. Many traffic back ups due to accidents. Some traffic dead still for several hrs. Trucks will change lanes on top of you. If rain or snow multiply by 10.

As far as going around its a toss up. Slightly north I71 goes west to Ind. 20-30 miles is Lawrenceburg Aurora Ind. This part of 71 is very good driving. decent traffic. At the above towns if you seek relax they have river side casinos. Very good food and accommodations. Lodging about 125-150 a night. MUST HAVE RESERVATIONS. Very nice at either.

I71 dumps you back on I75 south just below Ohio river. Decent traffic at times but can be a nightmare too. I71 east not familiar in that direction.

When ever I have to travel cincy area on interstates pray to God to spare my life.

Wee hrs is light traffic. As mentioned, have some one help watch road direction signs. I believe a mention of Loveland, that I71 east a few miles. Decent traffic.

Get away from cincy area traffic in completely different.
