If so I was wondering if you could tell me what size the I beam is.. I might be able to pick a new one up cheap but it's missing the trolley beam. I could run down to HF to measure if they have one but thought I'd ask here first. Thanks!

I picked up a gantry last week. I bought a HF Gantry from a guy on Craigslist. All the components look brand new and unused. I was missing the top beam. I paid 250 for it and 160 for an I Beam from my steel guy along with the two end plates which I'll have to drill and weld to the beam. It'll be a piece of cake to build and I'm in for 410. I already have a trolley and a chain fall so I'm set. I'm gona pick up a cheap crane scale so while assembling I can get a weight on the cab, bed, frame and motor........just to satisfy my OCD LOL

I should have responded to your question. Although I didn't have 'the' answer for you, I had an answer. I wanted to say "Go get the gantry and figure out how you can make it usable later." So you went and took my advice without even hearing it. One of us is really good at this.
