First of all, happy New Year to everybody. Personally, I am happy to see 07 coming to an end. It had some good spots (getting our cars running :)) but had some rough ones too (me losing my job in Feb and taking early retirement and my Son Don got a divorce :() All in all it was a year I could have lived without.

However, I see a fresh start coming with the New Year and of course have to make some resolutions. Here are mine.

1) I've decided to go back to work, at least part time. Can't stand being retired, so I am going to start looking for something. I also can't stand living on a fraction of what I made.

2) Get more organized in my personal life and in the shop. Already started by cleaning out years of crap I don't need and gotta say the shop is easier to work in. Now I have to work on our stuff at home.

3) Get heathier. I have really been neglecting my health. Not eating the foods I should and no exercise. Gotta take care of both of those items, don't want another heart attack.

4) Be a better person. Need to have more patience when doing things like driving..........don't get mad at people for driving slow in the fast lane, etc. Just generally be nicer to people I meet.

5) Save more money. Now that my T is done that will help a lot, but I need to start living cheaper. I waste a lot of money on dumb stuff.

That is my list, what about all of you??

Don

I gotta say 2007 is a year I will never forget. 4 months ago I colapsed in my shop with basically a broken back. An ambulance ride to emergency surgery, with a few screws and plates, and I was back together.
I sit here tonight on the eve of a new year, hoping I will pull everything together in 2008. My business has been on hold, as also my income.

I have to also tell you how fortunate I am. In 2007 I was a lucky guy. I did not end up in a wheel chair for the rest of my life, and I had enough money put away for a rainy day. I was surounded by people who loved me enough to take care of me, when I couldn't do anything.

Resolutions? No, I will just continue to do the best I can, in every way I can.

2008? bring it on!

Happy New Year to everyone.

I made a New Years resolution years ago,
to never make another New Years resolution...
so far, so good ;)

I've managed to follow a similar resolution for about 5 years now.

I do wish each and every one of you the best for the coming year and many years to come

2008 Should Be Great

Completely out of debt and a new project to work on. Today I was given a 40 Ford frame to put under my truck. My original frame had some bad damage after sitting outside 45 yrs. It's great to have friends that share what they have. Looking forward to 2008 bring it on. As far as resolutions go I will be trying to be more patient with those I love. Like Don said above need to take better care of my health. Hope all RRR members have a Happy New Year.

Not to worry about the things I can't change and to change the thing I can. Live life to the fullest and enjoy the ride. Happy New Year everyone. :D:D:D

I'm not making any this year. I'm just going to cruise into the new year status quo.

I don't want to be a pessimist, but there is no way Tripper is going to stick to his resolution. I'll give him two months at the most. :D
