Fordite. Surprised the EPA didn't stop them from "harvesting" it from the plants by claiming it was some kind of health hazard. I wonder how hard it is? Looks like it polishes up good.

Jewelry with character. You might be able to determine certain years in the layers by distinct colors if you knew what plant it was from.

They are very britle. My brother used tomake a lot of jewlery. I think I have a few raw pieces some where. A few rockhounds wee amazed and asked where he found them.
