Yep, great stuff. Seem to remember Belushi doing one with Joe Cocker where John didn't sing, but just stayed behind him an imitated him. Joe had to have a good sense of humor or at least was a good sport.

Funny thing, I had never heard of Sat. night live, or probably never was home on Sat. to see it but the very first time I did see it was that episode and just tuned in when the performance began and I wondered WTF is this?

Joe's song "You can leave your hat on" was used in 9 1/2 weeks. YouTube "You can leave your hat on 9 1/2 weeks." Kim has to be one of the sexiest women alive, and Joe's tune was perfect for it.

For my birthday Mrs Tripper bought me great seats for Tina Turner's "last tour" in 2000. I was jazzed to say the least. Never had a clue who the opening act was but at the concert guess who the opener was?!? One of my fav's... Joe Cocker... I couldn't even believe it! WHAT a concert! Cocker blew the roof off the place... & so did Tina! RIP Mad Dog... RIP!!!

Ray Charles once said that Joe Cocker was the only true disciple that he ever had.
Just like Ray.Joe could take any song and make it his own.
My wife saw him back in the 70's right around the "You are so beautiful" time period. She said that when he sang that song he hit that last high note clear as a bell.
Rock on Joe.......
Torchie.
