stopped a garage sale this friday, saw 2 axle laying in the dirt, one had hubs on it the other axle 1 hub spindle other end no spindle nothingon it . iasked him what they was off , no idea he said , how much he said i don"t know 15.00 to much? i will take them both i got out 30.00 he said i told you 15.00 this man must be right he is in charge well we loaded them. my question did any of the car people chev, ford, dodge make around axle with spring pads parrrel the axle is not straight could say it is wavy, has to be early. it ideas i have not learned how to put pictures on here yet, trying to get someone local to show me, the learning curve is not what it used to be when you get in your 70,s. you know what is funny ? ihad shoulder replacement 3 weeks ago spent the past week loading 2 trailers with1927 ford and dodge front and rear axles all kinds of early car parts. getting ready to go chickasaok swap meet14,15,16 of oct. i know my drum is different, or im a sick puppy can"t use right arm at all have not started therapy yet. any body got idea on the front axles let me know thanks robertbandit

Pictures would help. But you said they are wavy. If it a curve between the two spring mounts if sound like they could be early Mopar axles. Dodge, Chrysler.

If it is a "wavy" tube then it is probably early Mopar. If it is a "wavy" I-beam then it is probably '53-'60 F-100. No way to tell for sure without pics.

does it look like this? if so, its a plymouth/dodge axle. mines off a '33 plymouth. dodge also put a wave in their late 50s truck axles but those are an I beam design...

front axles i have are the same what did you do for brakes the one i have with ahub has bolts going into hub no studs sticking out for lug nuts any do you have juice brakes ? nice little ride you have . thanks[P[P[P[P[P

i used a drum setup off a '59 dodge D100 pickup. had to hog out the kingpin bosses to .875 and the steering arms from the car needed drilled for the truck size hardware but otherwise, its a bolton deal.
the lugs press into the drums themselves which are held on by the spindle nut. :)
