i walked outside the hotel and there was this big dude taking pictures of my car.
so i walked up and said hi.
turns out he was a french tourist that didnt speak english.
through sign language i asked him if he wanted to go for a spin in the 27 chevy.
he was REAL into the idea.
so i took him for a quick spin around the area.
the guy was like a lil kid
real excited and taking movies of the ride.
afterwards he shook my hand repeatedly while jabbering away in french with a big smile.
it was pretty comical watching this big galoot cram himself into this dinky little truck.:D
anyway ,
i just thought i would share a cool thing that happened to me.
being friendly is free and makes everyone feel good.

Thats a cool story, it is interesting to see how things like cars and rats cross over to other cultures, it is a universal language!

Was nice of you to have taken him for a ride, and sure does feel great when someone else has an appreciation for your hard work...

[cl Nice to read this. I remember when I was a kid and see cool cars at shows or just out and about and try to talk to some of the owners and get a "Go away" attitude that would turn some people away from the car hobby. I always talk to people, especilly kids and let them sit in my car and show them that not everyone with tattoos are not punks and how fun the hobby is.

That's cool as it gets. The guy is going to have some real stories to tell the folks back home. You just advanced the hobby by leaps and bounds.[cl

Yeah, what Sniper said! [cl[cl[cl

And unless someone can prove they are having more fun with their car than Billy is with his little truck, then I nominate him as the official "RRR Ambassador"

My hat's off to ya billy
It takes people like that, to make good impressions on others.
Hope ya gave him the website to our forum ?

That's really awesome, well done [cl

One thing though . . . . what the heck is a french dude doing in your part of the world [S

Way to go, Billy. Doesn't cost anything to be friendly. My old trunk in the bed attracts all kind of folks. Little kids wanna see if there is any "treasure" inside and all the old chicks follow me into the dump to see if I"m "throwing it away". I always take the time to "be nice".:D;)

i told my wife that from here on out.
she needs to refer to me as AMBASSADOR billy.
from the look she gave me i aint exactly sure if my royal decree will be met.

If your wife is like mine, she's not calling you ambassador exactly!! :D

Don't take that ambassador opening in Syria.

Nice of you to do what you did. Your enthusiasm, from the start of your build to the frequent driving of your truck has impressed me.
