Buckets in...WAHOO....

A friend from work pulled the seats out of his eclipse and said I could have them if I wanted them. Went and picked them up yesterday, Got them home, And they nearly bolted right in place. One has a tear in the seat bottom and one is good. Factory grey lether for the MITSU and the color doesn't really flow with the truck but I'm sure they will get recovered soon enough.

Don't shoot me just yet, I will post pics of the install tonight or tomorrow...

Bad news is Reason4 can't sit in the middle, all skoootched up next to you anymore. But the buckets are cool. Looking for the pictures.

Swivel buckets were in mid 70's Monte Carlos. Probably in other GMs at that time too.

That's quite alright because I am never a passenger, I'm always the driver, especially in the truck :D

I'm just one of those ppl that don't trust any one else's drivin, I'm like a caged cat if I ain't behind the wheel!

OK OK OK...
I will go take some pics....

Chopper Tom,
I got your E-mail earlier today but did noy have time to reply... I will give you all the info I can. Believe it or not, my truck is only a static drop. I cut 2 full rounds (which really is too much) from the front coil springs, flipped rearend, and notched the rear frame rails for suspension travel. Truth be known, I probably notched the frame too much as well. Still have yet to hull out the fenders, but did remove the inner fender wells and relocate the battery.

Used to have a 77 malibu that had the swivel buckets as well.

FOR THE RECORD: Reason 4 has never hugged up to me in the car or truck. Think she gets car sick.

Pics for ya...

OK....
Best pics on short notice.

too bad you guys live so far away. i get nice bucket seats all the time. today i took a set of tan leather ones out of a 528 BMW and gray leather ones from a volvo cross country wagon. both very nice seats. the beemer seats are rat rod ready in that they mount dead flat on the floor, no weird heights on the mounts, and sit very low. theyre also fully electric. they'll probably end up in my packard. i also get consoles etc. in the last week ive junked almost 30 cars. alot were upscale euro and jap cars.

I had swivels in my 75 Monte. comfy as all get out but useless. if you swiveled em out to exit the car the door wouldnt shut.

Seats look good, Flat. I'mlike rat33, I've take buckets out to put benchs in. The Plymouth gets this treatment.

can't beat free, plus you can mount an ice chest inbetween them now. that's what i've got planned at least, already have the chest, just need the buckets.
