Got it made

I live in Bastrop Texas population 5000. I actually live 6 miles outside of Bastrop. We own 7 acres of the piney woods. The trees here are so thick you can't see your neighbor. I have lived here for 22 yrs. I haved lived in Texas all my life. Traveled some some but Texas is my home. Weather here is not hard to deal with. And I have enough trees for firewood in the winter. Don't think I'd want to live anywhere else. Besides I'm getting too old to want to move.

Went to a mall somewhere in Jersey and at the first stop sign at
the end of the street people were blowing their horns, yelling and cussing each other, it was like an overdramatized scene from
the movies! I think you would not go too far wrong in the southwestern MO area. Low home and land prices, old tin still
available and your GF's family should make it a step in the right direction. Good luck to you Joe.:)

I have lived in a lot of places. Alaska was best by far, nothing close. I hated the humidity in East Texas and all the cars you find are rusty hulks there. Western Montana and Northern Idaho are pretty cool. I really like much of California but they have too many rules. I like the Puget sound area, real mild there. I can't handle the south, sweating like a pig and having love bugs in everything just didn't cut it for me.

I moved my family from Houston out here to Las Vegas in '89. Best move I've ever made. I've met more nice, hard working people here than you could ever imagine. If you like to work, Vegas rules! If you are lazy, it might not be right for you. Very busy environment. Great climate, friendly people, lots to do. Never a dull moment here!
