Depends on the size of the parts. I'm using muratic acid and loving it. Really cleans, and in a short time. Every body says use it 40-1. I am using it straight. Works for me.

Good and bad points like most things.
Good is: Relativly Cheap. Works. Friendly to the environment.
Bad is: Stinky. Messy. Attracts critters and Bees. And if your not careful it will pit the metal. Plus you really need something big enough to submerge the entire part in.
Torchie.

Nuts and bolts the molasses trick is awesome. If you're doing something like floor pans or a frame, muriatic acid in a spray bottle is the ticket.

I like electrolysis because it doesn't eat away more metal and is nearly free. But, like several rust removers that need to be rinsed, it has water involved and that causes light surface rust.
