Hi all,
Iv'e been encouraged to start a 'build thread' ASAP.
We have a 1950's Bedford cab, which i plan to take 6 inches out of the roof, drop the body around the chassis & paint flat black and lime green:D
We have a 1947 Bedford front grille which will replace the original front as its too wide, it was off a 9ton Bedford truck and wont fit on my trailer.
To power it we have bought -(our first cost to date for the build)- a 318 Fireball V8. (So he says, but how do you tell? and what exactly does the fireball stand for?)
........All stuffed on a 1979 Mazda ute chassis which we picked up today and will be stripping back tomorrow morning.

Today is day 1 of the build and i have already encountered my first set-back, my ol'faithfull grinder s#!* itself! ~ The first of many setbacks im sure lol ~ while i was cutting the front and guards off the Beddy cab.

Heres a few pics so far of the cab, grille and 'donor' ute... More will follow as work progresses. We'll try to make this build as detailed as possiable as i like pics myself [;)

Good job sir. Like how those headlight are mounted to the grill. Cool grill for that matter. Are you going to keep the corner windows? How much chop? :D

Nice cab

What is it with these guy's putting old american tin on a rice burners:eek: paint look cool as is. Food for thought, If the floor pan on that rice burner is in desent shape you can do what I did on my 49 (also sitting on a rice burner)[;)
