I Have plumbed that.I used high pressure braided line from the booster to the prop valve. Its just like the caliper braided hoses that you would use.It even had that sticker on there. For Off Road Use Only. But brake lines are brake lines.

Cool, your lucky you live in a leanient state. Here in Utah, that would not have passed for being street usable. The state is clamping down on what is factory OEM and what is not. It does look good and blends with the settings.

Good luck, Maximo

Do you have to do anual inspections there.Do they actually check brake lines?

Well, if you go to the actual state cert stations down in SLC, they will even put your ride on the rack, pull your wheels and attach the digital measuring machine to your spindles/hubs, rotate your wheels and measure you front disc or put your brake drums on the stationary table and use a tri-meter to measure your ware on the drums. YES, Utah is annul at certain city stations.
There are small shop that even go the extra mile to screw you as hard as the state allows them to shovel it up your hole.
This is why it helps to know all the shops that will work with you in getting your rides to pass. As far as the old jalopies go and the rats, you need to have the beast registered corectly and an engine that will be grandfathered throught the system. Otherwise your ride will be tested for emmissions according to the engine codes and casting numbers. This state is moving towards the real annul way of life. And if your ride is not true to certain safety items, such as the hard brake lines, tough crap in your hands, you won't pass and you have 10 days to fix the problem, or else you pay all over again and it usually is a brutal hassle from the inspection stations.

Cali mostly checks for the OEM engine stuff for emmissions. Utah goes the extra mile for ALL safety features.....but there is a quirk in all this mess, if you do mods that improove the safety of your ride, they tend to let that slide on by. Like taking old drums and adding disc brakes to all 4 sides, that is a great improvement, it adds to your ride. But don't have a super dark tint on the windows or you will definately fail and possibly be the results in a fine.
So for most states, the feds have left it up to each state to take the standard loose outline for inspections and emmissions and some even can mandentory have up to 4 inspection per year. Real annul in that part of the country.

Sorry man, I know what you mean. I too have a pile of wasted lines I have kept for some reason. I may buy the double flareing tool someday and use some of them.

How are you bending them?
Do you have a tubing bender? If you dont, pull real hard on the ends when you bend it over a pipe or something round and this will help from kinking it.

I think I also did a search on the HAMB for brake lines and got some good tips.

Could you move the proporsioning valve a little? :eek:OK, bad idea, just trying to help.

tubing benders are far to cheap (4.98at HF for one that bends the three major line sizes)to be trying to bend lines in any other fashion
