i am in nebraska
growing up in silverton colorado at 9300 feet not only acclimatized me to cold
i own some of the finest mountaineering cold weather gear you can get.
 
Ok, I have to do this one time each Winter, it is required by Florida State law if you are a geezer living here:

"Today will be in the mid 80's with a slight chance of scattered showers near the coast. Tomorrow and the next day and the next day will be exactly the same." :cool::D

Ok, I have fulfilled my yearly obligation to rub it in to our northern neighbors, sorry about that but if I don't do it they take away my Senior Citizen free coffee card at McDonalds ! [ddd

i like snow
i get all dressed up and i am Ernest Shackleton attempting to make the final push to the north pole
(cracks whip) MUSH MUSH! must ...make ..the last cache before the storms fury saps even my iron will to survive....
then i snap out of it and open my mailbox......
 
the coldest weather i have ever experienced was in Elmore Minn in 1976
negative 80 f counting windchill.
cold enough to instantly give you an ice cream headache from breathing the air.
my dog froze to death in a barn full of cows
 
Only a little below zero (F) this morning when I walked the dogs. Sam, the male Standard Poodle had a little icicle hanging from his deal when we got home.

Not quite as warm as Don's toasty Fla but in the 50's here in Central Tx! Thank goodness that's not -50!

Although I think his speedo could be electrically heated...it might have something more to do with the Corona and the location of his friends hand....but thats just my opinion....what the heck to I know?? [S

I don't know about you....

But I'm trying to convince the wife to move to AZ when I retire ....Not to the Arctic circle.....-50 degrees....you guys are nuts...I hate it when it gets below +32 degrees.....Penguins you're all blooming Penguins... splane to me what you see in a state that goes from OK warm to RIDICULOUSLY cold....[S
