c notching

i need to c notch my frame i bought a ford 8" out of a mustang 2 and the axle sits on top of the leafs and its on the frame now. what are some tips and things to watch out for when doing this

Just make sure your axle is center of the notch... If you're going to install a link setup I'd install the link setup first. I'm sure you won't need to make a pendulum to find the center if the axle is against the frame already lol...

Just build the notch with the frame still in one piece.Start welding it in.Then cut out the part that you dont need.Weld in the plate to sure it up good.That way the frame will stay nice and square.
