I see I'm not the only one who didn't feel the love on the HAMB. It's a shame, really, because there is some good info over there. But I drew the limit when someone started a thread bashing my friends car & business.

There's an Indian lives up in Prosser Washington named Ovidio. He sits at the truckstop and ponders. Sometimes he writes poetry.
I'm laid over there for a week and I'm having coffee with him and as were talking about people in general he points out this urban cowboy guy driving a bright red dodge viper.
Ovidio says "see this fella he doesn't even know who he is... He thinks he's Robert Redford and he thinks he John Wayne and maybe he thinks hes Steve Mcqueen too or maybe he's jsut trying on stuf trying to figure out who he is.. But he doesn;t know who he is without the cloths and the stuff.... I'll bet he only puts in 5 gallons hangs out a little so we know he was here and drives down to the next town and does the same thing."

Ovidio had this poem he wrote called "I saw a bird" when you get to the end you realize all life on earth has been made extinct by pollution and wars and 2 freinds are walking one says he saw a bird and the other doesn't believe him. I wish I could remember it.

My impression going into it was yeah another armature poet this could be... ok...
but it was really profound. I call him my friend but I only met him a couple times years ago and never saw him again.
