can you tell me what engine i have what its out of. behind drivers head is numbers 3970010. if front of passenger head is v12o1cks. pretty sure its a 350. but would like model and year it came out of and hp numbers if available, any help would be great,thank you.

was used for 69 camaros with a 302 and also on 69-80 350s if thats the cas it could have anywhere from 145-350 hp depending on the year

v is going to be the plant -- in this instance Flint i believe 12 will be the month it was casy 01 will be the date cks will be the engine code -- which they ran in 72, 73, and 77 ... if they ran the whole set up .. then the 72 would have a 4bbl carb 4 speed with 255 hp... 73 would be a 2bbl with 145hp and the 77 would be a 4bbl automatic trans with 170 hp

Could be a high nickle block with 3970010 date dec 1st from FLINT Plant
the code was used one year in 1968 and was a 327
then in 1969 thru 1979 was used as a 350 code

in 72 the the code cks was a lt1 225 hp 4 bolt z28 engine produce in Flint[V] dec 01 [1201]

in 73 the code cks was 145 hp 2 bolt bodys f /a/ b same date dec 1st [1201]

in 77 the code was a LM1 170 hp 4bolt in the f bodys

to be sure you will need to pull oil pan and check for main cap bolts,

If 4 bolt and heads are original will you will need code and valve size determines hp.
