I posted this up with all the pics from the junkyard I was in over the weekend... Still thinking about this one

The yard guy thought it was a reo, but I think federal or white? I was so distracted by all the stuff to look at this was the only pic I grabbed...

It had a split windshield... Someone had snagged every badge... Hood had vertical lovers... It was a BIG truck

My first thought was Federal. Who cares....save it from the crusher :D

I would like too... we will see they were hoping someone would take the whole truck.. and this is a big one.. dual axles long and a massive dump bed.. I would just want the cab fenders and grill.. but i think I am more tempted by a cab over.. there was a ford COE (sold before i got there), a crazy dodge lineman truck COE, and 2 or 3 48-54 chevy COES..... I am going back not this weekend but next

Maybe a Diamond T?

I dont think so they have very distinct grills

Brockway?

could be.. i was also thinking autocar???

funny.. did zz build this one too

This is the Federal truck registry with pics.
The door handles, in your pic, are above the belt line and all Federals I've looked at are below the belt line.
Take a look

Could be a 45-46 federal perhaps...

There is more pictures of stuff from the yard.. I put them in the BS section.. if someone can identify the aluminum skinned transit bus I would be impressed... it was awesome...

Autocar? (Edit: I was putting this together when you posted CORPO.)

Here's a couple images that appear to match the lines well...

Both were tagged 1945 and I'd be happy to find anything from the '40's in a junkyard...

... on another note, I took your BS bus challenge and came up with these...

I don't know what scrap is going for in your area but it's 10 cents a pound
around here. There's $450 to $550 if you scrap it out and just keep the cab,
hood, fenders and grill.

If the price is right I'd go for it.

Dr you are the man... Those look about right but it's hard to tell... The distinctive feature I don't see is those front vents... Wait you can see them....I would love to make the bus into a camper.... But man what a project that would be... I did score some cool parts out of the bus... Check out the dome lights....

Got this light off the dash area as well

I also nabbed this dash panel... It was too cool to leave behind... Plus I'm hoping to get some of the switches to work ... These are all switches for various lights

I am going to head back that way with a buddy and a trailer but... The COEs might tempt me more!
