I like the idea of a 2-3" chop. But it's all about the windshield. Get that figured out and the rest is probably easy.

Any pics of the new nose? Didn't realize you were so vain PA!

Hey, Studes aren't weird! Especially 50s. Yes, those Champ pick ups had a bed that looks like it came from something else. They just don't line up with the cab at all.

Isn't that unusual--Looks like they just gave up or something. As a kid I remember seeing an original Avanti from those years, and I was shocked to see how bad it was. It was all warped and the doors and hood didn't fit--right outta the factory--they went belly up shortly after. Makes ya wonder if something like that didn't happen with the PU bed--just ran outta $ to make one for it and slapped that one on..

I like the cab of that PU,--make a nifty gasser truck I think-- but I think I'd put a stepside bed on it If I messed with it.

Can you just have a windshield made somewhere for a chop? I got a ChiCom wet saw a few years ago to try and cut a windshield, but never got around to trying it to see if it'd work.

I sure am proud of my new nose--not for the looks (it's actually bent over a little more now)--but its OPEN!! Had a deviated septum so bad I haven't hardly breathed through my nose in years. Came from a smart mouth and the inability to duck--. Fixed now--nose AND mouth--(mostly)....

Is putting a Bel roof on a Bird legal?

I've heard guys using a sandblaster to trim a windshield, not sure a wet saw would do - is it a bandsaw type thing?

Yeah--But Sam's prolly right-Sumthings probably wrong with me-I kinda think like a criminal..Worked as a counselor in a reformatory a few years, and had to leave--I couldn't see that they had done anything wrong--Buncha sissies and quiters..

I have this urge to hack up nice cars N make them ugly!!

Ate too much lead paint chips as a kid I guess...
